Most link problems have a simple cause: the link is old, cut off or already used. Find the message you see below. If nothing here helps, contact the dive center: they can give you a current link or take your details at the counter.
Booking page
The page says "Online booking not available", followed by one of these messages:
| Message | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "This booking link is not valid" | The dive center replaced its link, or the link is incomplete | Ask for the current link or QR code |
| "This dive centre is not currently accepting bookings" | The dive center cannot take online bookings at the moment | Book by phone, by message or at the shop |
| "This dive centre does not accept online bookings" | The dive center has switched online booking off | Book by phone, by message or at the shop |
| "Something went wrong" | The page could not load | Check your connection and reload |
Registration form
"Invalid registration link" appears for every problem while the page opens, not only a wrong link: a lost connection, a dive center that is not taking registrations, or too many page loads from the same connection all look the same. Reload the page first, and try mobile data if you are on shared Wi-Fi. If it still fails, ask the dive center for their current link, or give your details at the counter.
Waiver signing page
| Message | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "This signing link has expired" | The link was created more than 48 hours ago. It can also pop up at the bottom of the screen when you press Sign the waiver on a page that opened in time | Ask the dive center for a new link |
| "Invalid signing link" | The waiver was already signed with this link, or the link is incomplete | If you signed, there is nothing to do. Otherwise open the link from the email again |
| "Something went wrong" | The page could not load, usually because the connection dropped | Check your connection and reload |
On the error screen, each comes with the line "This link may have expired, or it has already been used." If you received several emails for the same waiver, use the newest one.
Dive log page
| Message | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "This dive log link is not valid" | The link is incomplete, or the dive center has deleted the trip or your dive group | Try the button in the email again, then contact the dive center |
| "Something went wrong" | The page could not load, usually because the connection dropped | Check your connection and reload |
Both come with the line "This link may be invalid or no longer active."
Messages on any page
- A message containing "Too Many Requests": too many pages were opened or forms sent from the same internet connection in a short time, which can happen when many guests share the dive center's Wi-Fi. Wait a while, or switch to mobile data.
- "The anti-spam check did not pass. Please try again.": the page runs an invisible check before sending. Try again, and update your browser if it keeps happening.
- The DivePilot logo instead of the dive center's on an error screen: the page could not load the dive center's details, so it falls back to the DivePilot logo. Every error screen looks like this.
- A bare "Not Found" page: the link was cut off. Press the button in the email, or copy the whole link shown after "Or copy this link into your browser:".
- A page headed "Your dive centre" that asks for business details: a registration link lost its end, and you landed on the sign-up for dive centers. You do not need an account, so open the full link again.
- A blank page: JavaScript is switched off, or the browser is very old. Use an up-to-date Safari, Chrome, Firefox or Edge. Nothing needs to be installed.
- The waiver document does not display: press Open the PDF in a new tab, then continue signing.
- The page is in the wrong language: use the language button with the flag, see Pages and emails in your language.
Note: All these pages need an internet connection the whole time. If your connection drops as you send a form, stay on the page: what you typed is still there, so press the button again once you are back online.
