Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep full access until the end of the month or year you have paid for, and your data stays in DivePilot after that. To close the dive center for good instead, see Delete your dive center.

Cancel the subscription

  1. Open Settings, then Subscription.
  2. Press Cancel subscription, the row that says "Keep access until the end of the paid period".
  3. The dialog Cancel subscription? tells you until when you keep access. Press Cancel subscription to confirm; the other button, Cancel, only closes the dialog. While it works, the button briefly reads "Deleting…", but nothing is deleted.

A message confirms "Subscription cancelled - access continues until the end of your billing period".

What cancelling means

  • Cancelling in DivePilot always takes effect at the end of the current period. DivePilot offers no immediate cancellation.
  • No refund is paid for the rest of that period, and the subscription is not renewed.
  • During the free trial there is nothing to cancel. Without a subscription nothing is ever charged; the trial simply ends.

What changes straight away

  • The plan card shows an amber Ending badge and Access until with the last day.
  • The tiles read Final day and Final charge, with "-" as the charge.
  • The rows to switch billing and to cancel disappear.
  • An amber card, Subscription cancelled, repeats the end date.
  • DivePilot emails the business email from sign-up: "Your DivePilot subscription was cancelled". The renewal reminder is no longer sent.

The same cancellation email arrives a second time when the subscription actually ends. Its line about keeping access no longer applies by then.

Changed your mind

DivePilot has no button to undo a cancellation, and the Reactivate button in the email only opens DivePilot. The Stripe page that opens from the Payment method row may offer to renew the subscription, depending on how it is set up. If it does not, write to support@divepilot.app before the end date. After the end date, subscribe again as described below.

When the period is over

At the end date DivePilot locks for your whole team, and your booking page and self-registration link stop accepting guests. Nothing is deleted. See When access has ended.

Subscribe again

  1. Sign in with an account that can manage the subscription. A full-screen page titled Your subscription was cancelled appears.
  2. Choose Monthly or Yearly, enter a card and press Start subscription, as in Subscribe to DivePilot.

The first payment is taken immediately at your region's current price, and all your data is there as you left it.

Note: The sentence on that page, "Your subscription ended on …", shows the date your original free trial ended, not the day your subscription ended.

Closed for the season

DivePilot has no pause, but there is no minimum term and no cancellation fee either. Cancel when you close, and subscribe again when you reopen. Keep in mind:

  • Access ends on the date shown under Renews on when you cancel, not on a day you choose. Cancel before the renewal closest to your closing day.
  • From that date guests cannot book or register online, so nobody can book next season while you are closed.
  • Nobody on your team can open DivePilot. Your data stays, and automatic emails such as staff reminders keep going out for trips and course sessions still in the calendar.
  • Subscribing again charges at once, at your region's price on that day, and your billing date starts that day. A discount from your earlier subscription does not carry over; enter a code again if you have one.
  • Yearly billing fits badly. Cancelling refunds nothing, and switching to monthly only turns the rest of the year into credit. A year costs the same as ten months, so if you close for three months or more, paying monthly only while you are open costs less.
