Everything DivePilot knows about a diver sits on one page. This article walks through it, from finding the record to the actions menu in the corner.
Find a customer
- On the Customers page, type into Search by name or email…. The list narrows as you type and matches first name, last name and email.
- From anywhere in the app, use the Search… box in the top bar, or the search icon on a phone. Type at least two characters; results are grouped into customers, bookings, boat trips and users.
- The Active tab lists current customers. Archived lists the ones you deleted, which can be restored from there if you can restore customers; the Staff preset cannot.
Click a row to open the page described below, or use Quick view on the row for a side panel with the essentials and an Open full profile button.
The header
Under the name, email and phone, four facts sum the diver up:
- Certification shows the highest card on file, with a count of further cards, or "No certification on file".
- Logged dives shows the total dives and the last dive date from the customer's details, or "Not recorded". Saving a dive log does not change them.
- Waivers rolls the waivers required for diving, or every waiver on file when none is required, up into one word: All signed, Expired, Missing or None on file. When none is required, one valid signature is enough for All signed; see Waiver expiry, renewal and checks.
- Next dive shows the next reserved or confirmed fun dive booking, or "Nothing booked". Course bookings do not count.
You see Waivers only if you can view waivers, and Next dive only if you can view bookings.
The four tabs
- Profile holds the personal details, the address and Health and documents.
- Diving holds dive experience, the certification cards and the equipment sizes the diver usually needs.
- Activity lists fun dives, courses and the rental history. You only see this tab if you can view bookings, enrolments or rentals.
- Waivers lists every waiver requested from or signed by this customer, and is where you request a new one. You only see this tab if you can view waivers. See The Waivers tab on a customer profile.
DivePilot remembers which tab you last opened for each customer, in this browser until you sign out.
The actions menu
The menu in the top right corner of the profile offers:
- Edit opens the same four-step dialog you used to add the customer. On a wide screen it is a button of its own, next to the menu.
- Merge combines this record with a duplicate. See Merge duplicate customers.
- Export data downloads the record as a spreadsheet.
- GDPR delete anonymises the personal data for good. See Archive, export or anonymise a customer.
Which of these you see depends on your permissions.
