Every certification card on a customer points at an agency and a level from your own catalogue. The catalogue lives under Certifications in the Resources group of the sidebar.
Add an agency
- Press Add agency.
- Enter the Agency name and press Add agency.
The agency appears with its level count. Delete an agency with the bin icon; DivePilot asks you to confirm and deactivates the agency. Deactivated agencies are listed under Deleted agencies and can be restored.
Add levels
Under an agency named exactly PADI, SSI, SDI, NAUI, TDI or CMAS you can switch on the standard levels DivePilot knows for it. Under any agency you can add your own:
- Type a name into Custom level name.
- Optionally enter the Depth (m) the level allows, up to 150 metres.
- Press the plus button.
Edit a custom level later to change its Level name or Max depth (m).
Ranks and the highest card
Standard levels sit on a ladder: Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, Divemaster, Instructor. TDI levels have a ladder of their own, from Intro to Tech up to Advanced Trimix Diver. This rank decides which card a customer's header shows as their certification. Specialty levels and the custom levels you add have no rank, so they never outrank a ranked card, and a customer with only custom levels shows the most recently issued one.
Cross-agency matching on trips
A dive group on a boat trip can require certain levels. When you press Check certifications on the group, each customer in the group is matched against the requirement across agencies: the same level, the equivalent level from another agency, or a card of equal or higher rank on the same ladder counts. The panel says which card matched, lists what each diver holds, and recommends a manual check when a card only matches on its depth. It never blocks a booking or a seat.
Your primary agency
The primary agency is chosen when the dive center signs up. It shows read-only as Primary agency on the Dive centre tab under Settings; contact support to change it. The level pickers for a dive group's required certifications and a course template's levels open that agency's list first.
