Every booking carries one of five statuses. The progress bar on the booking page shows the normal path, Reserved to Confirmed to Completed; Cancelled and No-show branch off it.

The five statuses

Status Meaning
Reserved Created by you or by a guest online, not yet confirmed
Confirmed Seated on a trip, enrolled in a course, or confirmed by hand
Completed The seated trip's date has passed, or the linked course enrolment completed
No-show You marked that a confirmed guest did not turn up
Cancelled Cancelled by you; can be restored

How a booking moves

  • Reserved to Confirmed: seat the guest on a trip, enrol them from the course's Pending bookings list, or press Confirm. See Confirm a booking and seat the guest.
  • Confirmed back to Reserved: remove the guest from their dive group, or delete the trip. A course booking also returns to Reserved when its enrolment is removed. Deleting a dive group is different: its bookings stay Confirmed, no longer appear on the trip and never complete on their own, so remove the guests before you delete the group.
  • Confirmed to Completed: happens automatically. Every 10 minutes DivePilot completes confirmed bookings whose seated trip's date has passed, in your dive center's time zone. Only bookings seated on a trip complete this way. A course booking completes when the student's enrolment completes.
  • Confirmed or Completed to No-show: press No-show on the booking page.
  • Reserved, Confirmed or No-show to Cancelled: press Cancel. Withdrawing a student from a course also cancels the linked booking, but cancelling a course booking does not withdraw the student, and the booking still becomes Completed if their enrolment completes. A completed booking cannot be cancelled.
  • Cancelled to Reserved: press Restore. The booking never returns to Confirmed directly, and the seat is not given back.

What does not exist

There is no paid or unpaid status. DivePilot does not record payments on bookings, so money is tracked outside the app.

Finding bookings by status

The Bookings list filters by Reserved, Confirmed, Completed and Cancelled. No-show is not in the filter; search for those by name or booking number.
