A booking marked as a no-show can cost the guest a fee. The fee is a line on the guest's bill, worked out from the dive that was missed. See Bills. A no-show is not a cancellation: your cancellation policy does not apply to it, see Cancellation policy.
The fee setting
Open Settings, then Bills & discounts. The No-show fee card offers four choices side by side and, right under them, what the chosen one charges, with an example on your price for a dive (a round example amount if you cannot see the price list), such as "With your dive price: a guest who misses a THB 1,500 dive pays THB 750." The fee applies to fun dive bookings, and the card saves on its own with Save changes.
- Full dive price: the fee is the price of the missed dive, taxed as the dive. This is the starting choice.
- Part of the price: type the percentage into "The guest pays ... of the price of the dive they missed", from 0.01 to 100.
- Fixed amount: type the amount into "The guest pays ... for a missed booking", the same whatever the dive costs.
- No fee: a no-show costs nothing, and the booking still shows as a no-show.
The setting needs the permission Bill settings. A fee already on a bill follows the setting when the bill next updates.
What a no-show puts on the bill
Marking a booking as a no-show takes its dives off the bill and posts one No-show fee line instead. Only the dive is charged: no nitrox, no extras and no included gear. The booking also drops out of the guest's count for Discounts. See Booking statuses explained for how to mark a no-show. If the dive was already on an invoice, its line stays and the reduction waits as "To be credited" until the next invoice or Settle & close, which issues the credit note.
Waive the fee
On the booking, Waive no-show fee asks for a Reason and a confirmation with Waive fee. The fee line leaves the bill, the booking's Booking details card says "No-show fee waived" with the time and the reason, and the Activity log records it. It needs the permission Void and correct charges.
Undo a no-show
Undo no-show sets the booking back to Confirmed: the fee goes and the dive returns to the bill. Undoing also clears a waiver, so a later no-show charges the fee again.
After the bill is closed
A closed bill does not change. A no-show marked after Settle & close posts its fee as a correction on the guest's next bill, see Take payments.
