DivePilot has one sidebar on the left and a slim top bar. Everything you can open is in one of the two.
The sidebar
Three collapsible groups. Pages you have no permission for are simply not there, see A menu item is missing or access is refused.
- Operations: Dashboard, Customers, Documents, Bookings, Rentals, Boat trips, Courses, Schedule.
- Resources: Boats, Pools, Equipment, Dive sites, Certifications, Course templates.
- Management: Users, Pay.
Click a group heading to fold it; DivePilot remembers which groups you folded in this browser until you sign out. Settings sits at the bottom, above the account button.
The account menu
The account button shows your initials, your name and the dive center's name. It opens a menu with Theme to choose Light, Dark or Auto, Edit profile and Sign out. The version number of the app is printed underneath.
Edit profile holds your name, email, language, a daily reminders toggle and a password change. A new password requires the current one.
The top bar
From left to right: breadcrumbs, then on the right a search field, the trial pill while you are on trial, the language menu and the notifications bell.
- Search, also opened with the keyboard shortcut ⌘K on a Mac or Ctrl+K elsewhere, finds customers, bookings, boat trips and users after two characters. Arrow keys move, Enter opens, Escape closes.
- The trial pill shows the days left and turns red in the last three. Clicking it opens a Subscribe button that leads to the subscription page, or elsewhere in Settings if you cannot manage the subscription. A failed subscription payment does not show a pill here, see When a payment fails.
- The language menu switches the app for you and is also the language of the emails sent to you personally, such as password resets and the daily reminder. Emails about the subscription do not follow it. It does not change anyone else's.
- The notifications bell shows a badge up to 9+. Open it to read, Mark all as read, or jump to the record a notification is about. Notifications cover new online bookings, self-registrations, signed waivers, completed courses and team members who joined, plus warnings about course bookings that still need enrolment, waivers that expire before a trip, trips tomorrow without a boat master, courses starting tomorrow without an instructor and students left with open sessions in a completed course.
On a phone
The sidebar becomes a drawer behind a hamburger, the header shrinks to the logo, a search icon and the bell, and the trial pill moves to its own row below. There is no language menu; change your language in Edit profile. Settings turns its left-hand tabs into one dropdown, and tables become cards.
