Signing up creates two things at once: your dive center and the admin account you run it with. It takes three steps on one page, and you are signed in as soon as the email is confirmed.

Step 1: your dive center

Open the sign-up page from Start free trial and fill in:

  • Dive centre name, as it will appear on public pages and in guest emails.
  • Business email. The confirmation code goes to this address, and it has to be unique across DivePilot.
  • Primary dive agency, the agency you teach under. This cannot be changed later from the app; contact support if it needs to change.
  • Country, Timezone and Currency. DivePilot prefills them from your device; changing the country updates the other two. Pick the timezone your boats actually leave in, because it decides when a day is over for bookings and the schedule.

Press Continue.

Step 2: your admin account

Enter your First name, Last name and Email, which is prefilled with the business email, and choose a Password. The meter under the field turns from Weak to Strong as you meet the rules: at least 8 characters, a capital letter, a lower-case letter, a number and a special character. Press Continue.

Step 3: check your email

A six-character code is sent to the business email. Type or paste it into the boxes and press Verify and sign in. The code is valid for one hour, even if the email mentions a longer time. If it does not arrive, press Resend code; a new code replaces the old one, and you can resend again after a minute, up to five times an hour.

Note: Until the code is entered, nobody can sign in to the dive center. Signing in then brings you back to the code page, which does not send a new code by itself. See Password reset links and verification codes if the code does not work.

What is ready when you land

You arrive on the dashboard with the setup guide open. Behind it, DivePilot has already created three departure slots named AM, PM and Night, the standard equipment categories, the built-in permission presets, and your free trial. The top bar counts the trial days down and links to the subscription page.

Signing in later

Use Sign in with your email and password. A wrong combination always shows "Invalid email or password". If you forgot the password, press Forgot password? and enter your email: you get a reset link that works for ten minutes, and the page says so even when the address is unknown, so nobody can probe for accounts. On the reset page choose a new password that meets the same rules and confirm it.
