The trip page

Open a trip from the calendar or the list. The page is built for the morning of the trip: everything that still needs doing is at the top.

The header

The boat's name is the title. Underneath: the date, the exact time if the trip has one, divers out of capacity if the boat has a capacity set, in red when the boat is full, the number of guests if there are any, and the boat master, or Unassigned in amber. Below that the dive plan lists the stops with numbered badges.

The buttons on the right offer, depending on your permissions:

• Checklist opens a menu for the paper checklist: Print blank checklist before the trip, then Upload signed checklist, which reads View signed checklist once one is stored. The button's icon turns green when a signed checklist is on file. See The trip checklist.
• Board opens this trip's departure on the departure board. See The departure board on a TV.
• Edit opens the trip dialog.

On a phone the same actions sit in the ⋮ menu, with Show on the departure board and Edit trip spelled out.

Departure check

The card says at a glance whether the trip is ready: Ready to go with a green tick, or how many things are left to sort before departure, in amber. Each open point gets its own row with a way to it, and everything already fine is listed in one line at the bottom.

Show groups, Show gear and Show bookings scroll the page to that part. The leader check only appears once a group has members, the waiver check only when at least one diver on the trip needs a waiver, the requirements check only when a group has required levels, and the verification check only when a diver on the trip has a certification on file. Divers marked as a no-show are left out of the waiver, requirement and verification checks.

On the day of the trip, or once a diver is checked in, the right of the card shows "3 of 8 checked in" with a bar, or Everyone checked in. It counts the confirmed and checked-in divers in the groups; check them in from their rows, see Check in a guest with their QR code. Waiver expiry is judged as of now, not on the trip date; see Waiver expiry, renewal and checks. Each diver is checked against their own waivers: the general ones for fun dives or for courses, their course template's additional waivers and their group's extra waivers; see Required waivers and the medical questionnaire. The waiver check covers a course group too, including any fun diver you add to it: enrolment checks the course prerequisite, but not waivers. The certification check is the one left out for a course group, since its divers are covered by the course itself.

Equipment

When anyone on the trip requested rental gear, an Equipment card lists them with the requested items and a badge counting the divers still to prepare. Only divers already in a dive group count, here and in the departure check, so a request on an unassigned booking shows up once you assign it. Fulfill opens a new rental with the customer, the trip date and the requested lines filled in. Divers already sorted are folded away under a count. If divers on the trip dive on nitrox, the card also shows how many tanks to fill, such as "4 nitrox tanks": one per nitrox diver for each stop of the dive plan, counting a trip without stops as one dive. No-shows are left out, and nitrox alone is enough for the card to appear.

When your dive center includes gear in every fun dive, such as tanks, the card also has a row per included category with how many of each size to load: the category's name, then one chip per size such as "12L × 6" and "15L × 2", then "2 own" for those who bring their own. Like the nitrox tanks next to it, it counts one per diver per dive: a trip with two stops needs two tanks for each diver, and a trip without stops yet counts one dive. No-shows are left out, and divers who bring their own are counted once each. These lines are never gear to prepare at the rental desk: they add no Fulfill and do not open the Rental gear check.
