Guests who stay on the boat

Not everyone on the boat dives. Partners who come along, snorkellers and children are guests: they take no seat in a dive group and need no booking, but the captain and the boat master should know they are aboard.

Add a guest

In the Guests panel of the trip page press Add guest:

• Name, up to 200 characters.
• Activity: Stays on the boat or Snorkelling.
• Notes, up to 500 characters, for example which booking they belong to or that they bring no fins.

Press Add guest. Each guest shows with an activity badge and the note. Edit or remove them from the icons on the row.

Where guests appear

The trip header counts them separately from divers, and the printed checklist has its own Guests block. Guests do not count against the boat's diver capacity on the trip page or a group's Max divers, so keep an eye on the total number of people aboard yourself. On your booking page, though, each guest takes one of the trip's free spots, as explained in A trip or course is missing from the booking page.

Permissions

Adding, editing and removing guests each need their own permission, so some team members may only see the list.
