The trip checklist, often called the manifest, is the sheet the captain takes on board. DivePilot does not tick boxes on the boat for you. It prints a checklist with everything the captain and boat master need, and stores the signed sheet afterwards.
Print it
Choose Checklist from the trip's actions menu. The PDF is titled Boat trip checklist and contains the date, departure, boat with capacity, boat master, total divers and groups, the Dive plan with each stop, a Participant checklist table with name, role, a boarding tick box and a tick box per stop for each person, grouped by dive group with the divers out of max, a Guests block with each guest's activity, a Signatures block for the captain and the boat master at each stop and, when the trip has a seat map, the Seating plan on the last page, drawn as the boat map with bow and stern marked. A trip without stops prints no Dive plan and no Signatures block.
Print it, take it on board, tick people off as they board and at each stop, and have the captain and the boat master sign at each stop.
Capture the signed sheet
Back at the shop, choose Upload checklist from the actions menu:
- Add a Note, for example who signed it and when.
- Press Take photo to photograph a page with the device camera and Add another page for each further page, or Choose file to pick images or a PDF scan.
- Press Save checklist.
A checklist holds up to 10 pages, whether photographed or picked as images. A PDF counts as the whole checklist and cannot be mixed with photographed pages; a PDF may be at most 5 MB. Photographed pages are cropped automatically where possible, and you can switch between Use the original photo and Use the cropped scan per page before saving; only the version you choose is kept. If a page or PDF is refused, see An upload is refused.
View, download or delete it
Once a checklist exists, the menu entry reads View checklist. The viewer shows one page at a time with zoom, Download this page, Download as PDF for photographed pages and, for a PDF upload, Open PDF. Delete checklist removes it from the trip and the archive after a confirmation, and frees the trip for a new upload. A trip holds one checklist at a time.
Permissions
Everyone who can see the trip can print the checklist, but the Seating plan page is only added for people allowed to view trip seating. Uploading, viewing the stored sheet and deleting it are separate permissions, and uploading or deleting also needs the permission to view it.
