Dive sites

Dive sites live under Dive sites in the Resources group of the sidebar. They are the stops of your trips, the places the dive log refers to, and the source of the weather panel on the dashboard.

Add a site

Press Add dive site:

1. Enter the Name.
2. Enter the Max depth (m), up to 350.
3. Click the map to drop the pin. The map opens on your country. Clear removes the pin.
4. Press Add dive site.

Note: All three are needed when you add a site. The form lets you leave the pin empty, but the request is then refused. If you press Clear while editing a site, the site keeps its saved pin.

The site panel

Click a site in the list to open the side panel with the maximum depth, the date added, the GPS coordinates and a map. Edit from there or from the pencil icon next to the site.

Where sites are used

• A trip's Dive sites are an ordered list of stops. The trip dialog only offers your first 10 active sites in alphabetical order, never archived ones. Once a dive log is saved on a trip, saving the trip dialog fails whatever you changed; see Dive log data on the staff side.
• The dashboard's Weather panel shows the conditions at one of your sites and only works for sites with a pin.
• Dive logs name the site of each dive.

Archive and restore

Deleting a site deactivates it after a confirmation. Find it on the Archived tab, with the date, and restore it there. An archived site keeps its name reserved, so no other site can use that name. A trip that still has a stop at an archived site shows that stop as "Select a site…" and cannot be saved, with "One or more dive sites were not found", until you change or remove the stop or restore the site.
