When equipment is offered online, guests can say what they need while booking, and self-registering guests declare their gear from your categories instead of a standard list. Booking choices become the booking's equipment request, and both feed the profile.
Switch it on
Under Settings, then Online booking, in the Rental equipment card: Offer equipment rentals online and, optionally, Show rental prices. With prices off, guests choose gear and sizes but see no prices.
What the guest sees
The step asks Do you need rental equipment? With I need some gear, one card per enabled category follows with Bringing my own, Need to rent or Not needed and, unless Not needed is picked, a Size chip row from your stock sizes, then a single Special wishes field. Guests never see stock counts or item labels.
Under Kits, shown only when prices are on, each enabled bundle that holds one of each part, has a price for the booking (per trip for a dive, per day for a course) and costs no more than its parts is a tile with its components and that price, with the components' sum struck through when the kit is cheaper. Tapping a kit flips its components to rent, and categories the kit covers show In kit. The mini receipt at the bottom, Rental gear total, lists kits and leftover items, shows You save when a kit beats the parts, and ends with "Estimated total - confirmed at pickup." With Add extras, a guest can add more lines and request up to 10 pieces per line.
What happens next
The choices land on the booking as equipment requests, and as owned items and sizes on the customer record the booking creates, which is a new one even for a returning guest. The booking page shows the requests as Awaiting fulfillment, with a Fulfill button for staff who can create rentals; once the guest is in a dive group, the trip page lists them under Equipment as gear to prepare. See Rent gear out and Gear sizes and rental needs on the profile.
