DivePilot comes with the official English forms of three training agencies, ready to use as waiver templates. Adding one copies its PDF and settings into your own templates, where you can edit it like any other.

Every form is in English. There are none for NAUI, CMAS, DAN, BSAC, TDI or RAID, and none in other languages. For those, upload the document yourself with Add waiver; see Create a waiver template.

Add forms from Settings

  1. Go to Settings, then Waivers, and press Add from standard.
  2. The dialog Add a standard waiver lists the forms by organisation, with a Required badge where it applies. The preview icon opens a form's PDF in a new tab.
  3. Press the plus icon, Add to your templates, on each form you want. Each click adds one form and shows "Waiver template added".

Forms that are already among your active templates, with the same title, organisation and version, are hidden. Once all are added, the dialog says "All standard waivers have already been added." If you add a form whose template you had deactivated, that template is switched back on instead of being copied again.

Add forms in the setup guide

The Waiver templates step of the setup guide shows the same catalogue, read-only. Saving the step adds all 15 forms from all three agencies, skipping the ones you already have. You cannot pick individual forms there.

Note: Saving that step creates six templates required for diving: the medical and liability forms of PADI, SSI and SDI. A dive center that teaches only PADI would then see every diver missing the SSI and SDI forms. Afterwards, deactivate the forms of agencies you do not use, or switch them to Optional.

The same step has Add a custom waiver for your own document. That dialog has no Medical waiver switch, so set it afterwards in Settings if you need it. The other steps are described in The setup guide step by step.

After adding a form

The copy is your own template. You can change its validity, whether it is required, and its other settings. Later changes to DivePilot's catalogue do not touch forms you already added.

As for any template, the PDF is locked as soon as the template has a signature record, even a signing link that was never used. If an agency publishes a new edition of a form, add it as a new template; see Waiver versions and the document lock.
