Pools are where confined water sessions and blocks are booked into. They live under Pools in the Resources group of the sidebar.
Add a pool
Press Add pool, enter a Name and optionally the Capacity in people, and save. Capacity is information for your team; DivePilot does not count people against it. An archived pool keeps its name, so a new pool with that name is refused with "A pool with this name already exists"; restore the archived one instead.
Sessions book the pool by themselves
A course session located in a pool, with a date, a start and an end time, books the pool for that time. With one pool it is chosen automatically; with several, the session dialog asks which pool. With no pool at all, such a session is refused with "No pool is configured - add one under Pools first". Rescheduling the session moves the booking, deleting the session removes it. Cancelling the course does not free the pool: its sessions keep their bookings until you delete those sessions. See Schedule the sessions.
Block a pool
For maintenance or an external rental, open the Schedule page and press Pool block:
- Reason, for example "Maintenance".
- Pool, when you have more than one.
- Date, and a start and end time.
Press Block pool. Edit or remove a block by clicking it on the schedule.
Clashes
Two bookings cannot overlap on the same pool and day. DivePilot refuses the second one and names the first: the block's reason, or the course and session name. Back-to-back bookings are fine.
Reading the schedule
Each pool has its own lane on the Schedule page. Blocks you created can be edited there. Entries that come from a course session are read-only: clicking one opens the course, and the session has to be rescheduled or deleted from there.
Archive a pool
Deleting a pool archives it after a confirmation; find it on the Archived tab to restore. A pool with bookings today or later cannot be deleted until those are moved or removed.
